Story
It all began at McAuliffe Middle School, in the after-school daycare program, when Jacob and Chrysti were just 11 and 12 years old. What started as childhood friendship soon blossomed into something more—though not without a few love notes first. Jacob had a huge crush on Chrysti and would leave sweet little notes in her locker and write her letters, hoping she'd notice. (Spoiler alert: she did.)

By the time they were 14 and 15, they were not only best friends, but also "official." They grew up together—learning how to listen, how to forgive, how to laugh in the middle of stressful weeks, and how to grow side by side without growing apart.

When Jacob graduated and headed off to UC Irvine, they stayed close. And the next year, when Chrysti was accepted to UCI too, they couldn’t have been happier to be back on the same campus again. They spent two amazing years together at UCI, making memories as nextdoor neighbors, sharing countless dining hall dates, and finding joy in the little everyday moments.

Now, Chrysti is finishing her final year and will graduate in 2026, and Jacob is currently in law school, set to graduate in 2027.

Their journey began as middle school crushes, blossomed into high school sweethearts, grew even stronger through college, and now they’re ready to become husband and wife. Through every chapter, they've grown together—and they can’t wait to start the next one.
